OVERVIEW
POPstore™ KioskGuard is an alert notification hardware that can enable the automatic sensing and detection of changes of hardware conditions for kiosk applications. It can support up to eight different devices such as main controller, receipt printer, barcode scanner and smart card reader etc. Once it detects a change of state, POPstore KioskGuard can automatically trigger the associated GSM modem to send out an SMS message with pre-programmed alert message to the pre-defined mobile recipient.
Remote monitoring plays a critical role in self-service operation as it is often about managing a scattered distribution of terminals. Typically, it concerns about the monitoring of remote terminals for ‘far away’ sites. Kiosk operation can take advantage of POPstore KioskGuard to automate the self-notification of machine status such as stock refill or paper jam thus alleviating the workload for field service and onsite support.
